HI folks, I was listening to my weekly roundup of podcasts and heard a topic discussed that I have not heard talked about much on any other shows. Player housing has been discussed here and there in the past with respect to players wanting it in the game but I don't think I've really heard some "out of the box" thinking on it or if people really think it's something Blizzard would work on.
The idea discussed on the Horde for Life podcast (ep 46 I think) was the idea of making a Hearthstone bind or reset to any location in the open world that the player chooses. Instead of binding your Hearthstone to an Inn you could simply choose some spot in the open world where you'd like to port back to. Could be some obscure house out in the land, at the top of a spike in the Blade's Edge Mountains, in some cave in Un'Goro, etc, etc, etc.
The idea is it could help get folks out of the big cities and into the world. One downside I can see is the fact players like hearthing back to town for the AH, bank, etc. So binding to a beautiful spot in the middle of nowhere might be "cool" it might also not be practical.
Anyway just though it was an interesting topic and I wonder what the CtR crew thinks about it.
